The Soul’s Journey: Envy

Growth, like human emotions is complicated, neither good nor bad. This week’s Soul’s Journey card is Envy and its a doozy. I feel Envy is focused emotion on status and social structure. Say someone received a promotion over you…lots of moola that you didn’t receive or a relationship that is unrequited.  Envy helps us to mitigate this loss by providing a choice point for growth..Lower vibrational or Negative Envy response leads you to copying or sabotaging someone’s success or spreading malicious gossip to sway the opinions of others. Positive Envy can motivate us to push ourselves to do the inner work and make the physical changes needed to succeed and shine in our own authenticity. I have a mantra that i repeat when i feel envy approaching….”What is meant for me will be.” after that i keep my heart open and get to work. The reward will be so sweet when you reach your goals the good old fashioned way and you may be surprised by the unseen and outer support when you make the positive choice. The unseen shows me Envy as a Rose comparing itself to a Lilly.

You must learn to accept that the obstacles in your life have been chosen by you. To be jealous of the soul path of another is to doubt your ability to judge what is best for you. It is human nature to covet the perceived luxuries of someone on a different journey, but to try to emulate him or her is not being true to your own guidance. You have chosen this life and these circumstances for a reason; by disregarding that and following in the footsteps of another, you are only setting yourself up for confusion and disappointment.

You never truly know what is going on in another person’s life and what personal challenges he or she may face, so to be envious is a fool’s game. Be authentic to your inner voice, because only you know what is in your best interests. If you don’t follow your own path, you will have to reincarnate in an attempt to learn your original lessons again. -James Van Praagh

Growth can be simplified down to a energetic, vibrational shift. Recently I have been drawn to the study of vibration and sound as a tool to heal, but also a new study of vibration made visible, called Cymatics. Place sand onto a metal plate attached to a speaker...
