New year..a fresh slate. Growth has room to grow. The card Forgiveness fell into my lap. Epiphanies abound and circle round again and with it a few highlighted players in our life. For me personally illuminating… who is this person, what are their intent and how do they make me feel? These are questions I am asking myself, not others. Other people’s opinions muddy the water and most times that answers the second question. Forgiveness and Grace go hand in hand with this type of shadow work. Imagine your soul as a garden, you plant seeds (hello new year energy) in peace of mind you let them grow and shower them with love and you glimpse the weeds after the sun has been high in the sky, illuminating the roots. Pluck it out, but before you toss it to wither…forgive them, they may not see what you see, but that’s the beauty of the garden. Polarity and opposition- the mirroring effect, this is the biggest tool of self awareness that we have. Reflection. What is being shown to you and the choice to ignore it and let it spread…before you know it everything is over run and theres nothing thats salvageable or to confront it and say ” No more sucking the life out of my creation!!.”
Forgiveness starts with yourself, nobody that is empathic finds this process easy. A weed has a right to the sun just as much as the flower next to it, and this is very true. This is when you say…”Now it’s my season…go start your own garden.” This is Self-Love, your pillar, your main barn, your pitchfork. If they have the will power then this is a gift of a fresh start, if they are a resistant stubborn weed, they’ll most surely double down in search of emotional waters from the humongous spring well (heart) of the Empath. This is where grace comes in…forgiving again and again…just remember..Empathy without boundaries is self sabotage. Love the weeds from afar as they learn to cultivate their own soil.
You can never flow with your natural energy of love unless you release the negative energy of hate, anger, intolerance or blame. Every soul in your path has free will, and you have no control over that. What you DO have control over is how you react to the manifestations of others’ free will.
Holding on to that negative energy will strengthen karmic cycles, and forgiveness can break that pattern. The most important person you must learn to forgive is yourself. Blaming yourself for “failures” blocks the natural flow of love, which will attract all good things into your life. – James Van Praagh
